Message set rpm and stroke to get a cross hatch pattern with 40 to 45 degree angle between up spiral and down spiral lines like this.

Place the hone in the bore and remove from the bore with drill turning. Usually about 400 rpm and stroke up and down 1 sec in 1 sec out. Use lots of the correct lube lube. Do not clean with solvents, use soapy hot water and scrub with a toilet bowl cleaner type brush. Then wipe with a lint free cloth till there are no deposits. Then wipe on motor oil to keep rust from forming. Keep everything super clean.
